A handful of fibers of wool, silk or linen are carefully combed by hand until all the fibers are aligned, after which our highly skilled and experienced craftswomen carefully forming  with simple, manually powered wooden spinning wheels, practiced hands, a steady foot and a keen eye woolen or silk and linen threads.

Pot dyeing, traditional Tibetan hand dyeing of small quantities of hand spun yarns with modern dyes creates a variation in absorption, also called the Abrash effect. The dyed yarns are then dried in the sun which gives a special tint.
